Yerevan states readiness to restore peace with Ankara

Yerevan is ready for the full normalization of relations with Ankara and the restoration of peace between the countries. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this on Wednesday following talks in Ankara with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.

“I would like to express my condolences to those killed in these earthquakes and a speedy recovery to the victims. We survived the 1988 earthquake, and we are truly familiar with the pain that Turkey and its people are experiencing right now. These kinds of natural disasters are a tragedy for all humanity, and we need to show solidarity to deal with humanitarian crises in these situations,” he stressed. – Being in Turkey at this difficult time, I would like to reassure you of our willingness to restore peace in the region, as well as to fully normalize relations with Turkey to establish diplomatic relations with it.
